According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the vast majority of provider directories are outdated and unreliable, with inaccuracies reported across half of all data in online directories. Notably, Trilliant Health’s Provider Directory reveals that 60% of individual provider records in the National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) list an inaccurate practice location. Data from the Provider Directory shows that 38% of providers changed their office location between 2019 and 2022.
